April is always a fascinating month in the world of sports. League titles get wrapped up, fans are jubilant and with spring in the air, we’re here to tell you what Fan Token holders have accomplished in a fun month.
Atléti’s big month continues
Money Can’t Buy Experience
Following the success of the Live the Dream activity last month, Atlético Madrid wowed their Fan Token holders once more in April with three huge experiences.
Firstly, 12 Fan Token holders earned VIP tickets for the Almeria match and got to watch the team train on the pitch before kick-off. They viewed the game from the Socios.com box and a handful of them even got to take a penalty as part of the experience. Well, whatever they did, they made a difference, as Atlético managed a 1-2 victory on the day!
Fly with the Atleti team
As Atlético de Madrid took on Barcelona in matchday 30, Fan Token holders managed to fly with the first team, in an all-expenses paid trip to Barcelona. This included flights & accommodation, and a wealth of activities around the match.
Impact Socios.com while celebrating Atleti’s 120 birthday
Atletico Madrid Fan Token holder’s impact went beyond the club, as we invited them to pick a mural design for the Socios.com offices in the capital. A street artist is booked to paint the design Fan Token holders pick, and this artwork will be proudly displayed in the office and used for more team-related activities, as it will be painted on a moveable wall.
Meeting a Valencia legend
Staying in Spain, Valencia invited 6 Fan Token holders to meet club legend Vicente Rodriguez, who played more than 300 games for the club in the golden era of the club in the early 2000s.
Six fans attended the event at the Mestalla, while more tuned in via zoom, asking a set of questions to their hero.
More Valencia Fan Token holders redeemed experiences, as 10 fans were also invited on a private tour of the Mestalla, ahead of the clash against Sevilla FC. The reward included watching the warm-up pitchside, and box-seat tickets too. A perfect way to celebrate the 100th season of the Mestalla.
The fun extended to our Levante UD Fan Token holders with six of them bagging a unique match day experience. They witnessed the players arrive in the stadium, enjoyed the warm-up on the pitch and bagged VIP tickets for the Mirandés visit.
All-access Rugby pass
We wanted to ensure our growing Rugby community kept up with their sides, so had a big month: Harlequins Fan Token holders managed to get behind the scenes at the Big Summer Kick-off, enjoying a Fan Experience and an access-all-areas pass. This made the fans feel they are an integral part of the side and showed the positive impact sports has on their lives. They also got to pick the player that was featured on the Big Summer Kick-off match programme by using their Fan Tokens to vote in a poll on Socios.com.
Sarries & Leicester Tigers end-of-season awards
With the prestigious end-of-season awards coming up for Saracens and Leicester Tigers, both teams wanted to involve their communities by helping them pick the Player of the Season award. Fans voted on polls run on the Socios.com app, and one lucky winner also got to hand over the award to the winning player after a training session.
The Sharks poll song
During the last URC game of the season, every time the Sharks scored a try, you heard a fantastic tune, and guess who picked it? That’s right, Fan Token holders made their mark on the entertaining match after voting on a binding poll on the Socios.com app. The game against Munster ended 22 all, how about that for entertainment?
SC Internacional match pennant
SC Internacional wanted Fan Token holders to pick the match pennants for 2023 and the winning design would be used for every match.
2 more pennants will be exclusively created for Fan Token holders to earn as a Fan Reward too, so keep your eyes peeled for that! The first pennant was already used in the first Brasileirão match on the 23rd of April, a match that showcased the importance of holding Fan Tokens!
The match pennant was a lucky charm, as Internacional managed an impressive 2-1 victory over Flamengo!
Picking Hashtag United’s kit design
Kit releases are always exciting, but when you’re directly involved in the selection process, it gets even better! Hashtag United Fan Token holders are picking the designs for the home and away kits for the new season, ensuring the team plays in style!
Meeting your chosen CR Vasco da Gama stars
When you meet your heroes, it’s an incredible feeling. $VASCO Fan Token holders had their moment with their players, but first even got to pick which ones they wanted to meet, using the Socios.com app to tailor their experience. Three voters won their spots, met their heroes and also scored three places in the rewards area, enjoying a day like no other.
Making your mark on Universidad de Chile’s jersey
As Universidad de Chile started to work on the official jerseys for the new season, Fan Token holders picked the main messaging. 1 lucky winner would also win a stadium tour, a signed shirt and a photo opportunity with the players. The poll’s options were:

Picking Manchester City’s corner flags
April was a busy month for Manchester City fans. Not only did they witness their team reach the FA Cup final, and claw back Arsenal at the top of the Premier League, but Fan Token holders also had their say on the season-deciding clash against the Gunners.
They got to pick the corner flags to used on the 26th April, in the biggest game of the season. Each flag featured a club legend or a famous City goal, and the following four flags blew in the wind on matchday:
- Vincent Kompany’s tribute
- Sergio Aguero’s tribute
- Colin Bell’s tribute
- Aguero goal v QPR – we can still hear the commentary in our mind from that incredible day!
